Fourth and final part of my Yule photographs from 2009. Different parts of outside Arendal. Mostly down town by the harbour. The city looks great in this condition, and a bonus is that it is permanently less than -10 degrees centigrade so you are alone.

Arendal with its two famous tourist attractions visible; Havnepubben (the harbour pub) and Fiskebrygga (the fish pier - fish monger). Both stupendously busy as usual.
I just flicked my nail back and forth on my monitor because that bird looked like a smudge on the thumbnail in my admin panel. Then I scrolled and realized my stupidity.
Next to our house these grow on the side of the road (there's a 2m hill that's been carved through for our road there).
And, zooming in, we get this hotel. Five star clarion hotel. People who have tried it says it's bad.
First day with snow; we had to check it out in case it disappeared. Rougher weather then. Thankfully, we got more than that.
Always prepared we are.
Actually, I am not even sure what these are, but they must be related to the snow somehow.
View from the top of Jovannsaasen.
Brits: This is a winter road. Steep and conquerable by our normal tyres with fucking spikes in them.
Not pictured: massive wall of snow shoveled into the side of someone's house at the bottom of the hill. Gotta love it.
Trom -island. Yeah, I am going to translate names like that because the last part of the word is translatable. Makes it easier to teach the language to others. Or more confusing, I don't know.
Yellow anchor points. Is it something wrong with me when I can't look at those without eventually thinking of subtle lube commercials any more?
Last one out in the open. Hope you have enjoyed the show (hopefully, you started at the first uploaded winter gallery otherwise that statement does not make sense).
It took some of the better parts of my Saturday to edit/upload/write captions at any rate, so you fucking better!
Nah, you're alright. Have a cookie.
