So I have a plan for once, I will study applied mathematics at UNSW next year. Might not happen of course, but possibly negative outcomes never discouraged me from sharing dreams. I find the English language tremendously more enjoyable than Norwegian, so I'm not just choosing the easy way out by joining the more than four thousand Norwegian dudes for a surfing trip or something. I mean, it's pretty pathetic reading about people who've spent years there and doesn't even fucking know one Australian guy. Besides, math? Should be a turnoff for most Norwegians anyway.
Now, Easter. Planned to go snowboarding with the old Oslo maniac, but some ludicrous miscalculations allowed an impulsive purchase of TG tickets, so any skiing activities will need to proceed before Wednesday - and then necessarily with stable snow conditions, what on Wednesday started out as excellent snow, was slowly processed into a matter with the basic characteristics of glue.
TG: I have a car this year as well, so stress is minimized to a function of network downtime and the few hours of driving. People accuse the former of being to grave a weakness to actually go through with another gathering, but they're being overly negative. Here's my recipe for enjoying yourself while the network is down; bring rollerblades (excellent cement floor), enjoy atmosphere, poke friend on the shoulder when he realizes he'll be dead when he reenters WoW (or for any other poke worthy causes), do some DDR showoff, take pictures, and of course, continue your quest to download the whole intarnet. I'm sure you have that on your to do list somewhere.
Oh, and I'll lay the smack down (without cerium however) in quake 3. I've joined a div 3 UK clan, under the name Team UK (yeah, they're that imaginative). One would presume there would be an unbendable criterion needing to be met for joining such a team, but I'll tell you, it just isn't there. At any rate, they're using ventrilo with some cool uk accents and they're actually way more serious than any Norwegian OSP clan I've played with - and I've played with pretty much everyone over the different eras. It's great fun at least - we're better than everyone in our division so it's a lot of newbie bashing - and I do my own duel mojo with vague coordination with the team. It's said that duelers only play half the game, but without much TDM practice we're owning it up FFA style and snatching quads with basic duel instincts anyway. So congrats to the TDM-only guys who're
only playing the other half, you either suck, or you're missing out on 90%.
